Reporting to the Controller and working closely with Human Resources, and Operational departments, the Payroll Manager is responsible for ensuring that Collective Agreements, employment agreements and legislative pay requirements are maintained in accordance with Carefor’s payroll policies and schedules and employee terms & conditions of employment.
The Manager maintains up to date knowledge of changes to relevant legislation (e.g., employment standards, Ministry of Labour, CRA requirements), and is accountable for ensuring that Carefor’s practices are aligned and in compliance with legislative requirements.
The Manager coaches and mentors’ staff to achieve individual and strategic organizational objectives and plays an active role in planning, promoting, and implementing process improvement and payroll standardization initiatives. The Payroll Manager will lead the implementation of common pay set up and pay practices across Carefor programs and sites.
